Identification of Priority RESearch TOpics for SMEs Associations in the Construction Sector

Project Duration: 01.02.2008 - 31.01.2010

PRESTO is a Coordination and Support Action (supporting) financed by the European Commission (EC) within the scope of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) which aims at facilitating the identification of priority research topics for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Associations (SMEsAs) by establishing a close and sustainable dialogue with European Technology Platforms (ETPs).

In order to perform the activities foreseen by the project, PRESTO will be concentrated on one main industrial sector -Construction Sector- and will devote a specific focus on new technologies of three construction-ancillary domains -Energy, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and New Materials- which play not only a significant role in the European economy but, more importantly, which are Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) intensive sectors.

PRESTO will bring SMEsAs and ETPs closer by enacting a series of activities oriented towards the rapprochement of links of collaboration among them.
